Halak Education is a fictitious company to demonstrate the power of Salesforce.com as a CRM system built on the Force.com platform. We have built a demo that shows how a business can run their entire business on one platform from front office business development to back office financial management including customer support.
This Portal Site is designed for Customers to log in and use the Salesforce.com Self Service Support Features and Customer Portal Features.
The Self Service Portal allows a customer to find Solutions for questions and Log a Case incase they can't find what they are looking for without having to call support. This reduces Customer Support Costs for simple Questions and Solutions. Solutions are set up in different categories so it is easy to search for an answer.
The Customer Support Portal gives the customer more access to their data. In our example, the customer who is an outside instructor can look at all the Classes that the instructor will be teaching, his or her Assignments, Skills with levels and descriptions and all their Time Cards. The instructor can add their time through this portal and these can then be used for Payroll.
